Amber kept popping up on Kaleb's "people you may know" on Facebook and decided to take a chance and add her as a friend (or as Mama Karol would say... he stalked her). After giving it some time, and making him sweat it out, she added him back. The first message he sent was a simple "wave" emoji to which Amber responded "I think you can do better than that. Want a second chance?" He took that chance and several messages later, and a plan to be his fake girlfriend for the holidays, they decided to meet. In a turn of events, Kaleb was the one late for the date and they ended up getting kicked out of the antique stores downtown Noblesville. They found a quiet table in one of the alleys, talked for hours (or some might say poor Kaleb was interviewed for hours) and they have been inseparable since, wondering how it took so long to meet; they were school rivals after all.

The ring arrived on a Friday - Kaleb's excitement was indescribable. He had to tell Amber and she knew the day would come soon. Kaleb knew how and where he wanted to do it, he just had to figure out the when. Well, it was a Monday morning and Kaleb knew it was the day. After some hinting and teasing before work that day, Kaleb worked on the final details of his plan. He gave Amber the choice of 2 locations for dinner - either one would have worked for getting to "their spot" for the proposal. After work, they got ready and headed to downtown Noblesville for their dinner reservation. Kaleb was rambling (like normal) before they even made it out of the neighborhood. After a short 10 minute drive with him sharing all of his thoughts, feelings, and dreams about their future it was now time. Kaleb parked the car close to the alley where they spent most of their first date. Amber already knew (but if she didn't, there was no surprising her now) what was coming next and Kaleb could see it on her face and in her eyes. They walked to the alley and sat down. Kaleb immediately held Amber's hand and got down on one knee. The interviewee from the first date had now become the interviewer! This is where the promises were made and accepted by both.. SHE SAID YES!!
