Yes, but please let us know if they will be joining us. We want to ensure that everyone has enough to eat. We won't have a special kids meal, so any picky eaters might need to bring snacks of their own!
Jon and Amber are not fancy, and therefore we do not expect you to be fancy! Wear what makes you feel beautiful that day. Remember that we will be at a open-air shelter in a County Park, so bring some romping shoes if you want to hike and perhaps a jacket. If you hike in heels, you will get a gold star from the bride and groom. But if you bring RUNNING SHOES and ask the bride to take a midday run through the woods, you will get all of the gold stars.
Yes there will! We'll have tacos (corn tortillas, no gluten) and meaty and veggie friendly options. Margaritas for those over 21, along with beer and wine. Bubbly water and regular water to boot.
If you want, go for it! We will have some games on hand for folks who are keen on a good time. Probably croquet, maybe a frisbee, and likely some kites.
Nope -- Indian Lake is an open air shelter. We'll bring along tarps to make make-shift walls if the weather turns sour, but we are crossing all of our fingers and toes that the weather is balmy and nice in late June. If it looks rainy, change your outfit and wear galoshes!
Unfortunately, no. We are relying on folks to drive themselves to the event or to take an Uber or a Taxi as needed. If you are worried about drinking and driving home, please make arrangements. We want everyone to be safe.
Ladies are invited to a girls night at the Olbrich Biergarten on Friday night at 5pm. Amber hopes to go to the farmer's market that morning (7am) and purchase oodles of flowers to decorate the shelter. Send her a message if you want to join in on that fun. Or just show up! We'll be at the shelter to decorate and set up food around 3pm if you want to hang before the party starts.
No, we got married already, a micro wedding in late April! There's some photos on this website and we can show you a video of the "second wedding" with Amber's family earlier this June.
