Johnathan and Amber met at a cookout in Athens, GA on July 16, 2016. They were both plus ones that decided to go last minute. According to John, he tried to break the ice with Amber by making a joke, but she rudely ignored him and walked away. Amber doesn't remember that happening. Later on during the party Johnathan entered the kitchen to pour himself a drink and found Amber standing there. She was very excited to see him enter. She had noticed how handsome he was earlier in the day so she decided to take that opportunity to speak. Johnathan was taken aback by her change in mood but pleasantly surprised with the witty banter they shared. They ended up spending the remainder of the party talking and laughing and having the most amazing time. Before the night was over they exchanged phone numbers and Johnathan invited Amber on a date for the following weekend. She said yes. The rest is history.
