The Old Mill reach of the Deschutes River Trail is the brides and grooms go-to scenic hike that doesn't require leaving Bend! There is a lovely ~3 mile loop that can be accessed from Farewell Bend Park or Riverbend Park. From Farewell Bend Park head south on the east side of the river, or from Riverbend Park head south along the west side of the river. The south end of the trail is not paved or graveled, so be prepared for uneven ground and a little dirt. For those who prefer a paved walk or a shorter walk, start from the Old Mill and head to the Bend Whitewater Park. Please visit the Bend Parks and Rec website for a map and park addresses.
