The couple met by fate at Volvo Cars Manufacturing plant in SC. Amber was scheduled to be off during the shutdown but her Manager responded late so she went in to work. She needed assistance from the Maintenance team with a project she was leading and was told to see Jerome. When they first met the sparks were flying but for different reasons. He was asking a lot of questions and she was becoming annoyed but yet still charmed by his charisma. After exchanging numbers to collaborate on the project, they began to have conversations that were getting longer and longer. Amber was so fascinated by the fact that Jerome was a single father and his knowledge of the Bible which contributed to even longer communications between the two. Eventually, the communication led to Jerome asking Amber to breakfast at Eggs Up in Summerville, SC. She was so excited when he picked her up in his Big Truck! After many dates and adventures the couple became official October 2020 and later engaged in October 2023 while on vacation in Antigua. They have laughed together, cried together, prayed together, grown together, and through all the ups and downs they just kept it together!! They are looking forward to this special day and the journey that comes with it!!! And they are so appreciative of everyone that is able to celebrate this special occasion with them!
