We met in the very beginning of freshman year of college. We had a mutual friend that held a hang out in their dorm room. Jamere was in the room already as I walked in. The only space to stand/sit was directly across from him. When I got to the empty space, I immediately made eye contact with him and looked away. It was beyond awkward. But Jamere claims I kept staring at him (I don't agree... I remember him staring at ME). This continued throughout the night..without us introducing ourselves. After the gathering was done and everyone was going back to their rooms, I went up to Jamere and said "Hi, I'm Amber and I'm on the basketball team" (THE best introduction ever). And we became friends after that night. We always ran into each other in the library and, one day, us and some friends went to get smoothies. I realized I didn't have any money at the time and Jamere offered to pay for my smoothie (such a gentleman). And these gestures kept getting kinder and more frequent. And the rest is history!
