Just 15 minutes from the CBD, Eat Street Northshore is a lively spot on the Brisbane River made from 180 repurposed shipping containers. With over 70 food stalls, 5 themed bars, and live entertainment, it’s a fun place to enjoy great food and drinks in a vibrant atmosphere. Fun fact, this is where Jake and I had our first date, so it’s a place that’s really special to us!
Located beneath the iconic Story Bridge, Howard Smith Wharves is a buzzing waterfront hub for food, drinks, and entertainment. With 13 restaurants, cafes, bars, and a hotel, it’s the perfect place to relax and soak up Brisbane's river views and vibrant energy. At the heart of it all is Felons Brewery, a fan favourite of ours.
Queen's Wharf is the vibrant new precinct offering everything from luxury hotels to fantastic restaurants and sky-high views. Jake actually worked on building this precinct for two years, so it’s extra special to us. Whether you’re looking for a fun night out or a relaxing riverside stroll, Queen’s Wharf is definitely worth a visit!
New Farm Park is one of our favourite spots to relax and unwind. This beautiful park by the river is perfect for a picnic, a sunny stroll, or even a run along the river (which is what we often do!). Right next door is the Brisbane Powerhouse, a great place to catch live performances, visit the Saturday morning markets, and watch a movie in the outdoor cinema.
If you're looking for a special dining experience, Hellenika at The Calile Hotel is the place to be. This high-end Greek restaurant (one of our favourite cuisines), located on the beautiful pool deck, offers a fantastic setting to relax, share great food, and enjoy some amazing Mediterranean flavours. We even considered getting married on the buildings rooftop—it’s just such a stunning spot!
O Bagel is our go-to breakfast spot whenever we're in the city! This cozy café serves up the best bagels in Brisbane. We can't recommend it enough!
