Amber and Greg’s story began in that sweet spot when life was just starting to feel normal again post-lockdown. After their first date, Greg walked Amber to her car and asked (only slightly nervously) if she might want to go out again. Fortunately, she said yes—and here they are today. Both December babies, they credit their Sagittarian directness for keeping their relationship grounded through mishaps, adventures, and plenty of laughter. Like the time Greg tried to impress Amber with his cooking skills and nearly set her kitchen on fire. He worried their budding romance had gone up in smoke, but when the air cleared, Amber was still there. Fire extinguisher in hand. (They went out for pizza that night.) In many ways, they’re like Paula Abdul and DJ Scat Cat—different tastes, but a perfect balance. Case in point: On a trip to Cape Town, Greg suggested exploring the city, while Amber pushed for something active. They compromised—sightseeing in the morning, followed by an afternoon mountain climb. Halfway up, Amber realized that this was a real mountain - and she really didn’t like heights. And that her experience of climbing Stone Mountain, in GA hadn’t quite prepared her for a climb of over 2,100’. But Amber is nothing if not determined. With Greg’s increasingly helpful suggestions (“Put your foot here… Grab there… Don’t look down”), she made it to the top—and safely back down. And thankfully, no one spotted any snakes - well, until they were back on solid ground. Through all their adventures, big and small, Amber and Greg have found that life’s better when they’re facing it together—whether they’re climbing mountains, dodging snakes, or just sharing a quiet night at home with their dog Austin, who’s adjusting to becoming Amber’s 2nd favorite guy. They can’t wait to celebrate the start of this next adventure with all of you!
