Things To Do

Our wedding venue is located in Belton Texas which is a 35-40 minute drive south of Waco. We've provided some recommendations in both cities, however please know that Belton is a smaller city. We'd love to encourage you to visit Waco and some of our favorite spots in town!

George’s Restaurant Bar & Catering #2

1201 Hewitt Drive, Waco, TX 76712

This is arguably one of our favorite spots to eat. It's a Waco local sports bar/restaurant that offers almost any type of food you imagine. We've truly never had a bad meal here (except the chili dog...don't get the chili dog) and they have the best margaritas in town! They do have two locations so you can go to either one, but the one in Hewitt is newer and a bit nicer looking! (PSA: this is a popular spot for locals so if you plan to go for dinner you might want to get there early!)

Di Campli’s Italian Ristorante

6500 Woodway Drive, Waco, TX 76712

If you're looking for a nicer place to eat or a big fan of Italian food, Di Campli's is the best! This is our go to "nicer" restaurant where we've celebrated several anniversaries and birthdays. The food is a bit pricier than your average restaurant but it is definitely worth it! If you do go, you have to try the bruschetta and their Italian margarita!

Spice Village

Franklin Avenue, Waco, TX 76701

Spice Village is your go to destination for all your shopping needs. This place has over 60 vendors inside selling things ranging from beautiful clothes to home decor to pet accessories. If you enjoy shopping you can find almost anything here!

Magnolia Market

601 Webster Avenue, Waco, TX 76706

If it's your first time to Waco, Magnolia is obviously going to be one of the most recommended places to visit. This specific area has the main market, a coffee shop, a furniture store, and the bakery! If you have any questions, Amber's mom is the Magnolia professional!

Baris

904 North Valley Mills Drive, Waco, TX 76710

For some less expensive Italian food, Baris is Waco's local Italian favorite. From the outside it does look like a hole in the wall restaurant but they have some of the best Italian food in town! It's also BYOB, so you can pickup your favorite bottle of wine from the store and bring it with you!

Lounge 93

5401 Crosslake Parkway, Woodway, TX 76712

Lounge 93 is Waco's first cocktail lounge! They have a great cocktail and wine selection and have some great appetizers.

Dr Pepper Museum

300 South 5th Street, Waco, TX 76701

Fun fact for you: Dr. Pepper was actually created right here in Waco! This fun little museum will walk you through the history of the soft drink as well as the science behind soda manufacturing. There are several interactive options within the museum that will allow you to make your own soda, do a soda tasting, or even play a mystery game as you go through the museum!

Schoepfs BBQ

702 East Central Avenue, Belton, TX 76513

One of the best BBQ places in the state of Texas, Schoepfs is located in downtown Belton!

Bird Creek Brewing

8 South 4th Street, Temple, TX 76501

Bird Creek is a newer brewery located in Temple. They have a great burger selection and a huge patio if you want to sit outside. They also sometimes have live music and have a great brunch menu on Sunday mornings!

Megg's Cafe

1749 Everton Drive, Temple, TX 76504

Megg's is a fabulous brunch place located in Temple! Most of their food is locally sourced and is delicious.

Spare Time

5434 205 Loop, Temple, TX 76502

Spare Time is a place with all kinds of activities that are both adult and kid friendly! You can bowl, visit the arcade, play laser tag, and eat!

For all the days along the way
