The easiest way to reach Domaine d’Essendiéras and explore the surrounding region is by renting a car at the airport. We would encourage people pair up and share. If you choose to fly into Limoges (LIG) or Bordeaux (BOD), there are several reliable car rental companies right at the airport — including Avis, Enterprise, Alamo, Europcar and Hertz — so you can pick up a car as soon as you arrive. If you prefer not to drive we will also coordinate a transfer from the airport to the venue. If you are unable to rent a car or drive please speak to us directly.

Flights for August 2027 aren’t released yet — we’ll update this page with recommended options once schedules are available. Driving through the Dordogne region is scenic and straightforward — perfect if you’d like to explore a little before the celebrations.

Le Domaine d'Essendieras
🏰 Staying at the Venue – Domaine d’Essendiéras The rooms will be reserved for weddings guests from September 2026 for a limited time only. We will remind you closer to the time once they are available to book. The venue itself has accommodation for around 45 guests, so some of you will be able to stay right on-site — perfect for making the most of the wedding weekend! There are: 5 hotel rooms 5 vintage rooms in the Grand Château 7 apartments (each sleeping 2–4 people) All of the rooms and apartments are within walking distance of the wedding areas, making it super convenient for getting ready, enjoying the celebrations, and strolling home at the end of the night. There are also holiday homes available, but are only available for a minimum 1 week rental. They are not within walking distance to the venue however are located on the estate. If you do wish to stay here the venue can arrange a shuttle transfer for you, just let us know so we can arrange this. Please note that rooms at the Domaine will only be available to book from September 2026, and we’ll share booking details closer to that time. 🏡 Nearby Accommodation If you’d prefer to stay nearby, there are lots of lovely options within a short drive of the venue — from charming French gîtes and holiday homes to small hotels and B&Bs. We recommend looking in: Saint-Médard-d’Excideuil (where the venue is located) Excideuil (about 10 minutes away, with restaurants and shops) Thiviers, Lanouaille, or Hautefort (around 15–25 minutes by car) You’ll find plenty of great options on Airbnb, Booking.com, or local gîte websites — ideal for guests who’d like a bit more space or to turn the wedding into a mini holiday.
