Amber and Gerrit met while they were both working at the Fayetteville Farmers Market. Gerrit's family farm has had a booth at the market for years while Amber saw the opportunity to get more involved in the local food scene when she was teaching garden education. One day they were paired together in filling orders, with their first date at Puritan Coffee and Beer happening a few weeks later. Gerrit now teaches eighth grade English and Social Studies while Amber is in her third year in her Ph.D. at Colorado State University.
