We had our first date on August 9, 2024. And the sparks flew immediately between us! We began to spend every weekend together as we communicated all week. I can’t remember exactly when we told each other we loved each other but it was after several months together. We just couldn’t get enough of each other! We were head over heels in love! And our families knew it. They could tell something was different this time. So we decided it was time to move to the next step…buying a house together. We found the perfect little house on a wonderful street for us and Sadie of course. We signed for the house on January 9, 2025. Everything just fell into place for us with the process of buying it and moving in. We have been truly blessed throughout the entire journey! The next stop in our story we’ll make is our 1 year anniversary trip to Oklahoma City. We decided it was time for us to get away and celebrate us. We spent time shopping to find antiques, being a tourist, and enjoying fantastic meals. But the highlight to the trip was when we returned to the botanical gardens for photos and he got down on one knee and proposed! I said “of course!” We were so excited to share the great news with our family and friends! So that leads us to why we chose our wedding date. Everything great and blessed has happened to fall on the 9th so we decided to stick with that and choose the first Saturday in 2026 that was a 9th. So May 9, 2026 it is!
