Frank and I met working at Flagg Ranch out in Wyoming. Frank was a part of the Vail Resorts Managers Associate Program (MAP) where he was doing a 6 month rotation in Food and Beverage. I was already seasoned Flagg Rancher in my 3rd season as the AGM. Because Frank was in the MAP program, the management team knew a lot about him prior to his arrival, so naturally at first meeting the Hotelier in me instantly went into full "lets make a connection" mode (aka stalker mode) where I literally started listing everything I already knew about Frank. "Oh, your from Michigan! I'm from the Midwest too!" " I heard you love to fish, well you sure came to the right place (probably added an embarrassing wink or something)". Needless to say my nervous word vomit charm seemed to work, because Frank kept asking if he could walk my dog with me after work, if you have met Jersey then you know walking him is hardly a one man job, let alone 2, but the mosquitos are terrible along the Snake River in June, so I thought "sure come along!" Well as the season progressed, we got to know each other pretty well on those dog walks. Frank taught me how to Fly Fish and I showed him the sights in both parks. I made the mistake one day of calling him "Friend" to which he quickly replied " We are NOT friends!" This became a running joke between us for the summer, however, I later learned that Frank just didn't want to end up in the Friend Zone. Regardless, he didn't end up in the Friends Zone, but the more than Friends Zone. Since the summer of 2015 we have gone on a lot of what Frank's mom would call "Frankie Adventures". We have lived apart (Colorado/Wyoming) to both in Wyoming, a short lived year in Tennessee, then back out West to Bozeman. We have adventured to Michigan, Minnesota, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Hawaii, Peru, and explored a lot of Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Park. And we really can't wait to explore even more as Husband and Wife!
