It's Happening!

Amber was sitting in her directing class at the beginning of Spring semester, 2018. Elijah walks in, hair bigger than anything she's ever seen, and a scruffy beard. Amber thought "who is that?" immediately drawn to him. Turns out, once he sat down and looked up and saw Amber across the room, he though the same thing. Elijah and Amber are both Irish dancers, and in Florida it's pretty rare. Elijah was asked to fill in last minute for an Irish dance show in Orlando, and needed a female dancer. That's when he reached out to Amber for the first time. She was too anxious to take the offer. But Elijah and her continued talking. He would ask her to help him with his lines for the upcoming production he was in, and she gladly helped. Any time she could spend with him. Elijah was offered another show, and tour and needed a dance partner. Without seeing her dance, over an acai bowl, Amber accepted the offer of the tour. That night they shared their first kiss, in a tree house, in the rain. They choreographed and rehearsed almost every night for the next two and a half weeks, and quickly fell for each other. During the tour they were inseparable. Every audience member would ask if they were together or married, they would laugh nervously and just say they were dance partners. During one of the last days of the tour, the day before St. Patrick's day, Amber and Elijah were in the van laughing about how so many asked about their relationship status. Amber said "When they ask if we're together, what do I even say?" and after a contemplative silence, Elijah said "Say yes". A year later, Amber was in Dublin for a solo trip, and Elijah in Belfast for an Irish Dancing master class. On the last day of Amber's trip, Elijah took a bus down to Dublin to spend the day with Amber. That night, they were walking through the near empty grounds of Trinity college. Under a street light, Elijah stopped and held Amber's hands, got down on one knee and asked Amber to marry him.
