Amber and Devontea’s story began in Starkville, Mississippi, around 2016 at Mississippi State University. With the same major and overlapping classes, their paths kept crossing through mutual friends. A special shoutout goes to Delia, who introduced them and unknowingly set the foundation for everything that followed. At the time, neither Amber nor Devontea imagined their story would turn into this. They were simply classmates and friends—studying together, sharing notes, and spending time with the same circle. Their friendship grew naturally, forming a strong and genuine bond before anything romantic ever began. A big part of that journey was their shared faith. Amber admired Devontea’s dedication to his Bible— something not often seen in college life. Soon after they were doing devotionals together and sharing scriptures. That spiritual foundation became the anchor that brought them together and has kept them grounded ever since. As a couple, Amber and Devontea truly are the best of both worlds. Their personalities may be different, but they complement each other perfectly. Where one may lack, the other steps in—creating a balance that makes their relationship strong and special. Today, nearly ten years later, they’re still building on that same friendship and foundation. Now proud “paw-rents” to their dog, Tuxson, they’ve shared countless memories and milestones together. Through every season, their love has grown deeper, and they’re excited for all that’s ahead. What began as a simple college friendship has become a lifelong partnership—and they can’t wait to continue writing their story together.
