Question

What do I need to know about the wedding?

Answer

We are not having a traditional registry, we just want you to be with us to celebrate. If you would like to bring a gift or card, there will be a table set up, but we most look forward to having you attend! On the website registry you’ll have the option to donate to our honeymoon or our favorite charity, if you’d like as well. The wedding will be at the Renaissance fair in Waxahachie, TX in their wedding gardens located directly across from the front gates. We have tickets for you for the fair on April 5th. You will get these by going to the Reserved Ticket line and requesting the tickets for your party you RSVP’d for. You will be able to attend our wedding, stay for the reception, and spend the rest of your time before and after enjoying the fair for the day, if you’d like. This is one of our favorite places and we wanted it to be something fun for all of us. Feel free to dress as casual or as “period-appropriate” as you’d like! There are renaissance outfits available to rent at the front gates, as well. Feel free to reach out to us for any recommendations on places you can buy costumes, if you’re interested. There are a few websites linked in the FAQ also. The wedding will begin at 1:30pm. Parking at Scarborough Fair is free and traffic is directed where to park. It is recommended you plan to show up at least 30 minutes early to account for traffic and parking. We will be serving food and drinks at the reception; this includes: Hors d’oeuvres - • Cheese plate Main entrees (1 per person) - • Sausage on a stick • Veggie wraps Sides - • Potato wedges • Corn on the cob Drinks - • Water • Soft drinks • Beer • Wine If you have any additional questions you can contact Amber at (469) 286-5491 or Darius at (214) 772-0704. I want to dress up; where can I find cheaper on-theme clothes?

Answer

We recommend a few sites that have great options! https://scarletdarkness.com https://www.zootzu.com https://holyclothing.com Etsy has some great items as well, just search renaissance or medieval and scroll through the options! There are also Renaissance fair resale groups on Facebook if you wanted to take a look, you can ask Amber to share these! Additionally, you can also arrive early to the fair and rent an outfit for the day, but we can’t attest to the pricing on that! Remember, feel free to be off-theme and dress in whatever makes you most comfortable! There is no dress code! If you want any more ideas or suggestions, you can text Amber @ 469-286-5491.

Do I have a plus one?

Answer

If you are here to RSVP after receiving your Save The Date or mailed wedding invitation, when you use the website to RSVP, it will show you your whole party who has been invited and paid for. If you would like to bring anyone additional outside of what you can RSVP for, please let us know and we can arrange you paying for their attendance! Additional adults cost $55 each, and additional children cost $40 each. This includes attendance to our wedding, reception, food, drinks, and their ticket/entry to the fair for the entire day! Question

I am not bringing a portion of my party (kids or partner), can I bring someone else in their stead?

Answer

Possibly! Please let us know at 469-286-5491 or 214-772-0704, and don’t RSVP for the portions of your party that are not attending! We very likely will be able to exchange the names for the RSVP if needed. It’s important we know exactly who is coming as when you come to the wedding you will be picking up your tickets by name at the Reserved Tickets line of Scarborough Fair.
