We're Getting Married!

Costen and I have created a profile with "Weddeo", an app where us and our guests can upload any pictures or videos from the wedding and the app has people who will create a wedding video for us. Feel free to download this app, type in "Mathieson/Smith" wedding, and submit any videos you take! We cant wait to show you the final product!

Costen and I had plans to go out with friends Saturday night of Halloween weekend in Grand Rapids. We planned to drive up Friday night, go hiking Saturday morning, go back to our friend's apartment to nap and then get ready and dressed up in our costumes to go out (or at least that's what I thought the plan was). We woke up Saturday morning and ventured over to Grand Haven to go hiking. We hiked the Sand Dunes first, and after a few hours when that was finished we decided to find another hiking trail. Halfway to the lake shore, Costen told me he needed to take a break on this overlook before he could continue. I thought it was weird and there was no way I was in better shape than him, but we sat and hung out for about 5 minutes. Finally, I insisted we continue on so we could get back to our friends in time to nap and get ready. I forced Costen to get up so we could get moving, but instead, he got down on one knee. Costen pulled out a beautiful ring and started to propose. Of course I interrupted and just said "YES!" At this point, I thought the surprises were over. But, I was wrong! We got lunch together in Grand Haven and headed back to our friend's apartment. I insisted on stopping for champagne so I could enter the apartment celebrating. When I opened the apartment door I started to yell "We're engaged!" but my voice was drown out by all our friends who came down to surprise me and celebrate with us! Costen planned an amazing day and now we're ready to celebrate with you!
