Our Story

Biology Nerd & Cheerleader

Our story begins at Texas Tech University, where we were both studying on the side while doing extracurriculars full-time. Amber, a stunning college cheerleader; Connor, a devilishly handsome yet charming Cell & Molecular Biology major who spent most of his time at the university rec center. Connor came across Amber's cheerful face on the big screen at a football game, and a slightly intoxicated Connor gave her a follow on Instagram. Amber, struck by Connor's timeless physique and the large fish displayed on his page, returned the follow. Connor then tried to "slide in her DMs," which was met by some success but was still disappointing-much like Texas Tech's football team. After a few swings and misses and a few brief encounters at local bars, this love story was almost cut short. After a few years of minimal contact-held together by solely a like here and there on the 'gram, Connor was spending his summer in the beautiful panhandle of Florida. Amber and her family were down in said sandy panhandle visiting family. An alert and cunning Connor caught wind of her visit, and used it as an opportunity to reinitiate contact. After months of phone calls and texts, we decided to meet up in Jacksonville Beach, FL. Sparks flew, tequila was consumed, and stars were gazed upon at the beach. Shortly thereafter, with Amber living amongst the bears and pines in western North Carolina and Connor living in bustling Houston, Texas, Allegiant Airlines took the two back and forth during a long stint of long-distance romance. Amber then moved to Houston, returning to the great state of Texas. Having never experienced true Tex-Mex, Amber quickly developed a deep love of fajitas and margaritas. We spent most of our time in Houston fighting traffic, walking our first child, Myla, and indulging in delicious cuisine. Myla appeared saddened by the lonely city life, so we then adopted our second child, Dirty Mike. The four of us now live in Santa Rosa Beach, FL, where we enjoy being on the water, going to the beach, and spend a large amount of time missing Tex-Mex.
