FAQs

If you have any other questions other than what are listed here, please reach out to Amber at 814-566-2796. Thank you!
Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Our ceremony will begin promptly at 4:00 PM. We kindly ask that all guests start to arrive by 3:15 pm and arrive no later than 3:45 PM. The ceremony will begin shortly after and late arrivals will miss it.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

For our June celebration, we kindly invite guests to dress in semi-formal garden party attire to complement the setting and season while remaining comfortable in the North Carolina summer weather. For ladies, we recommend midi or maxi dresses in floral prints or soft pastel tones. Lightweight, airy fabrics are encouraged for both style and comfort. For gentlemen, we kindly request suits or dress pants paired with a dress shirt. Ties and bow ties are welcome but not required. As our wedding will take place during the warmth of June in North Carolina, please keep in mind that average temperatures are around 87 degrees. We want all of our guests to feel comfortable while still embracing the spirit of the occasion. With that in mind, we kindly ask that guests avoid jeans, overly casual attire, dark colors, and white, as white is traditionally reserved for the bride. While not required, we would love to see guests in soft seasonal shades such as lavender, pale yellow, light blue, sage green, peach, and other pastel hues.

Question

Are there places to stay near the venue?

Answer

Yes, please visit the travel page for additional information.

Question

Do I have to stay at one of the hotels listed on the travel page?

Answer

Not at all! You are more than welcome to stay in a rental home like AirBnB/VRBO if that is your preference. Mooresville is located right on Lake Norman, so there are many great options in the area.

Question

Will the wedding take place indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our ceremony and cocktail hour will take place outdoors. The reception will be held both inside and outside, as our venue offers plenty of beautiful space to enjoy.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Due to space and planning considerations, we are only able to accommodate guests who are listed on the wedding invitation. If a plus one has been reserved for you, it will be indicated on your invitation with their name or "& Guest" when you RSVP.

Question

What is the parking situation?

Answer

Splendor Pond has a large parking lot that can accommodate plenty of guests. If you plan to celebrate with us a little extra that evening, you’re welcome to leave your car overnight. We just kindly ask that all vehicles are picked up by 9:30 AM the following morning.

Question

Are children allowed at the wedding?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding will be an adults-only celebration unless otherwise indicated on your invitation. We hope this gives you the opportunity to relax, enjoy the evening, and make it a fun date night!

Question

Will there be a bar?

Answer

Yes! Beer, wine, two speciality cocktails and non-alcoholic beverages are on us.

Question

Can I take photos/videos during the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly ask that you shut your phone off during our ceremony. We have a wonderful photography team who will be taking pictures for us. After the ceremony you are more than welcome to bring your phone back out!

Question

What is the address to the venue?

Answer

388 Rocky River Road Mooresville, NC 28115

Question

What do I do if I cannot make it?

Answer

If you cannot make it, you will be missed! Please indicate your regrets on our RSVP tab when that opens. If you know before receiving your formal invite that you cannot attend, please text Amber at 814-566-2796

Question

When is the RSVP deadline? What do I do if I cannot make it?

Answer

TBD! Our formal invitations will arrive in your mailbox in early 2027 and will include the RSVP deadline. We kindly ask that you respond by the date provided, as any guests who have not RSVP'd by the deadline will be considered unable to attend.
