Maid of Honor
Tiffany is one of the greatest friends anyone can have. We met through a mutual friend in 2010. We hit it off instantly. Having so much in common, and being kindred spirits with like minds we often found ourselves having a ball anytime we were together. She is so supportive, caring, and she makes it a point to let you know how important you are to her. Her heart is so big! When we met, I had no idea that she would be as awesome as she is. She lets people be who they are and loves them for it. So it was only natural that she be right there on the most important day of my life, and through the most important time of my life.
Matron of Honor
My sister! Our story is pretty wonky, but long story short; we met a little over 6 years ago. She came with a husband and son, my wonderful nephew Rome. When we met, the circumstances were not the best. For me, I had expectations they weren't great. I grew up as an only child, and at 28 I all of a sudden had an adult sister and struggled with the concept a bit. But my sister, from day one, made it clear that she was My SISTER and acted that way. She always reached out to me, looked up to me, and made me feel loved. I can never thank her enough for that. It helped me actually grow as a person. And Natasha's presence on my big day is what makes it complete.
Bridesmaid
Adia is always so positive and full of light. She is open, and honest, but does it in a way that makes you feel comfortable to do the same. We met on the very FIRST day of undergrad at UC Davis in 2002. She was outgoing, and to a shy person (like me) meeting her for the very first time was strange. I didn't know what she wanted as she walked up to me in freshmen orientation. But I am so thankful she did. We have been the very best of friends since that day. She brought "The Girls" (Roop and Tisha) all together! Without them, I may not have grown into the person I am today. I am eternally grateful.
Bridesmaid
My Tee!! I have so much to say about this girl. I just love her! Tisha is such a very warm and inviting person. She always wants you to be comfortable and well fed! Her laugh and smile is infectious and makes you want to hear it all the time. It just makes you feel like its a good day. All the girls are so funny in there own ways, but this one!? She will have you laughing so hard sometimes without even trying to be funny. I am so blessed to have her and the girls to call on for anything. When we are together it's like all is right with the world and Tee's nature just makes you want to never part again.
Bridesmaid
Roop and I met in college. We were introduced by Adia. We all have so many memories and coming of age stories about our college days and growing to young women. Roop introduced us to her culture, taught us a few things, learned a few things from us, and has always been such a solid person in my life. I've always admired her ambition, and her positive nature. Her and her family are goals personified. I am blessed to be able to call on such an all around awesome person. To have Roop stand there with me on my big day is such a blessing.
Bridesmaid
Not going to lie, I feared Erika not liking me before we met. From the image I got from Chris, she was not easily impressed by the chick's he brought around before me. I knew how close they were as brother and sister, and I wasn't sure if she'd let me into that at first. But she NEVER once made me feel unwelcome or disliked. When she started to tell me secrets about Chris, I knew I won her over and we would be great friends! Erika has a great head on her shoulders and takes care of her business. She has done more for me in the time we have know each other than what I can say for a lot of other family I've had for years. She is now my family, my sister, and I am beyond grateful to have her.
Bridesmaid
I met Tracy at a kids bday party when I was about 7. She was pretty much raised as an only child as well. But Tracy never had a problem sharing her clothes, toys, bikes, and animals (she had a cat and a dog) with me. We would go ride bikes, play outside, play video games together. We had great "play dates" growing up. As we became adults, and learned more about what life REALLY was, we grew closer. She became a wonderful mom to 3 fantastic children, owns her business, and is graduating from school with her degree. She's always so patient and easy going and is just super chill to be around. We've been sisters for over 25 years and watched each other grown into women. Now, she'll stand with me when I become a wife.
Groomsman
On August 22, 2001 I walked into my St. Ann's Hall at Duquesne University and said "hey what's up?" to the stranger whom I would be sharing my first home away from with. Little did I know that I had just met who would come to be my best friend. Fast forward 17 years and our friendship is still the same despite the four thousand miles that separate us. I have had the privaledge of visiting Ryan in his hometown of St. Michael's, Barbados five times. I was made to feel so at home visiting him and his family it got harder to leave each time. Especially after experiencing Ryan and his wife Je-Meila's wedding!
Best Man
For some people, deciding who your Best Man should be can be an arduous task. For some the choice is easy. And then for some, there is only one person that makes sense. I am one of the lucky people who did not need to spend any effort appointing that responsibility. Since day 1 Brian has been a part of every milestone memory. He was at my first birthday party. We did the Mexican Hat Dance in preschool. We played sports together. We celebrated his wedding together. We celebrated the birth of his first child together. There is no other person I could imagine standing by my side as we celebrate the biggest day of my life.
Groomsman
I first met my lifelong friend Robbie the week I moved into college. But it wasn't until two years later than Robbie made a lasting impact on my life that helped guide me towards my life goals. He and his family hosted me for a week during our winter break so that I may attend my first internship. Not only did it help launch my professional career, but it also showed me what made their family special.
Groomsman
In April 2005, Lennie Patterson called me to be with him in Maryland when his second daughter was born. During that trip to Maryland, I met Mamlie Sey whom Lennie knew through work. Mamlie quickly became one of my closest friends and helped make my time in Maryland a list of good memories. Some of the best times I have had with Mamlie include fishing trips, my first time in New York City and getting to know Maryland and D.C.
Groomsman
My cousin Lennie is the first person I thought of when I realized I needed groomsmen. He is one of those people that can strike up a conversation with anyone. Lennie is also who I have to thank for expanding my horizons past my comfort zone when I relocated to Maryland. Because of him, I eventually ended up in Los Angeles where I met Amber.
Groomsman
Marquis is one of the people who has really made me feel welcome in my new home of Los Angeles. Ever since Amber introduced us years ago, we have made so many great memories. As Amber's cousin, Marquis is the life of many family functions and I look forward to connecting with him at each one. When it was time to pop the question to Amber, Marquis was also one of the family members I wanted to earn a blessing from before the day came. As close as we have gotten to be over just the past couple of years, it was only right that he stand with me at the alter as well.
Groomsman
Russell and I began our lifelong friendship in college. During my sophomore year at Duquesne, Russel and I were roommates along with his older brother Ryan. We clicked immediately. It only takes one conversation with Russell to appreciate his personality and positive spirit. He will quickly become one of those people you are always happy to be around.
Ring Bearer
Roen is Amber's 4 year old nephew and her sister & matron of honor, Natasha's youngest of three amazing sons.
