It was 8 years ago, at their church, with the faint smell of flowers and incense in the air, under dimly lit Easter Vigil lights, their eyes first met. Time seemed to stop when Amber’s dear friend smiled nodded and said “Brendan meet Amber”. Brendan had his kids clamoring around him, while Amber was talking with her mom. Amber was instantly caught off guard and Brendan was outwardly confident while internally nervous. To say that this scene set the stage for their future together would be an under statement as Amber explains, “I’m surprised we are here today, I was so shy and awkward that first night.” She says, since the first moment she knew it would be different. He was so kind and handsome which threw her off guard and made her shy. She fell in love with Brendan as a dad, his sense of humor, his empathetic view on the world and their deep conversations about the future together. He helped remind her how to laugh, love, live, and grow as a person along their journey. She gets emotional talking about his smile, his huge heart and his joy for life. Whenever things got hard he was always there with a huge hug and the perfect thing to calm her. With a glint in her eye, she says their is no way the next chapter of their story can be any better then the last eight years …so Let’s Go! Brendan will say, Amber knocked him off his feet that first night and every day since. “She’s gorgeous and since the first time I saw her to now I still get butterflies.” Talking about the kids relationship developing over the years with their “Mombre” still brings him to tears to this day. He says they have been through so much life in the last 8 years and when he would step back and turn around Amber was always there right by his side through it all. She’s what he’s dreamed of his entire life and to say he’s excited for their future together is an understatement! A move to Olalla, then proposal on the dock at their place together where she said “YES!, kids affectionately naming Amber “Mombre,” slowly picking up the pieces after loosing family members and pets, getting new pets, surfing, fishing, adventuring, a grueling remodel, and re-proposal this summer …. Amber and Brendan are excited to invite you to a small intimate wedding with family and close friends under the trees at Bear Lake!!! Join them for their special day on August 24th at 3pm as they say “I do!” at the lake and begin the next chapter in their journey together.
