At Dulles Airport, Gate A32, where we would also share our first kiss. Amber was headed to Europe to enjoy Wimbledon and a friend's wedding. And Blaine, a busy surgical resident, was on his way to L.A., where he traveled monthly to work as a dentist at his parents' practice, Green Street Dental. Intention sparked our union. The year prior, Mrs. Marsha Hassell, a mutual friend of our mothers, had connected us by text message. "I have the perfect person for Amber," Ms. Marsha texted Amber's mom, after showing Blaine a picture of Amber, of which he approved. We spoke everyday for a month, before residency and life got in the way. Before our flights crossed paths. Since that fateful day at Gate A32, our infatuation has grown into a deeply rooted Love. Amber is a renaissance woman: civil rights attorney, thespian, politico, and writer. And Blaine is a renaissance man: doctor, designer, comedian, and general contractor.
