How we met

May of 2016

I was in Cosmetology school, and decided to work at Logan’s roadhouse as a server to make money while in school. Ariel happened to be my trainer for a few days to help me learn my new job duties, and we just clicked. She got my phone number and asked me to hang out with her and her friend at Bayfront. I agreed and met them and we just hit it off from there. We have been best friends and have truly loved one another since then. It only took her five years to propose ;)

The Proposal

Didn’t go as planned

After talking to friends and family, I decided to propose at the Bragg Mitchell Mansion in Mobile. The day finally came, and I told Amber I wanted to take her on a picnic there. We decided to tour the mansion and the tour got over sooner than expected which put a damper in my plans. I had to let the surprise photographer know that I needed her sooner than expected, so we ate our picnic outside then I had to stall Amber by walking around outside the mansion. When the photographer showed up Amber was under the impression she was photographing the mansion because of its history. I asked her to just walk in front of the mansion and she declined because she didn’t want to be in the shot of the photographer so I had to grab her from walking away and dropped down on one knee and asked her to marry me. It definitely didn’t go as planned because I was so nervous I didn’t even give the photographer the signal I was supposed to and forget everything I wanted to say. It still was perfectly imperfect though and we are just happy to finally be getting married!
