One of our favorite things to do on a hot summer day is to float the Guadalupe. Depending on the river levels the shorter float will take about 1-2 hours.
Lake Travis

If you are staying in Austin or not opposed to driving (about 45-60 minutes), Lake Travis is the BEST time! Rent a pontoon or jetskis for a couple of hours and you will not be disappointed. Pro Tip: It will be Memorial Weekend, so ask the rental place for directions to Devil's Cove. You can thank us later. For rentals we always go through Aquaholics, but there are tons of rental places in Volente.
