Brother to Alex. Since 2006, Spencer has embraced the role of the baby of the house with charm and mischief, injecting the household with his unique brand of humor and personality. With his adventurous spirit and knack for keeping things lively, Spencer could easily be credited with giving Pat and Jenny their fair share of grey hairs over the years. As he prepares to embark on his next chapter at college, there's no doubt that Spencer's boundless enthusiasm and curiosity will continue to leave mark wherever he goes.

Sister to Alex. Some of Alex and Amber’s fondest memories with Emily revolve around their time spent in the barn, enjoying dinners together, or turning any event into a friendly competition. Emily has been Alex’s trusted confidante, consistently offering sage advice whenever he seeks it. Her competitive spirit is further reflected in her impressive achievements, as she holds numerous records at Shelby Oaks Golf Course. She currently works at Miami Valley Hospital and attends The Ohio State University pursuing a career as a Nurse Practitioner.
Tyler Zimpfer

Brother to Amber. Tyler graduated from The Ohio State University in 2022 and then pursued his law degree at WashU, completing it in May of 2025. As Amber's older brother, Tyler always set the bar high, both academically and personally. Growing up, he was the driving force behind the Zimpfer kids' involvement in showing cattle, infusing the barn with laughter and camaraderie. His determined spirit and infectious energy continue to inspire those around him as he embarks on his legal career.

Sister In-Law to Amber. One of Amber’s earliest memories with Mallary involves a particularly wild moment when she was thrown off a golf cart driven by Troy. Mallary was a perfect addition to the Zimpfer Family’s lively dynamics, seamlessly fitting into their craziness. She played a big role in Amber’s life, helping her get ready for school dances, participating in Nerf gun wars around the house, and staying at their house during her state officer term. These experiences vividly illustrate how Mallary became an integral part of Amber’s world, adding joy and excitement to their shared moments.

Brother to Amber. Despite his knack for pushing Amber's buttons, Troy holds a special place in their hearts as her mischievous yet lovable younger (but taller) brother. Whether he's getting his hands dirty tinkering with something or having a blast with his friends, Troy's zest for life is unmistakable. Currently enrolled at the Hobart Welding Institute, Troy's outgoing nature and infectious laughter make him the undisputed life of the party among the siblings. Though he may occasionally drive them crazy, Amber and the rest wouldn't trade him for anything in the world, cherishing the joy and laughter he brings to their lives.

Friend of the Couple. Megan graduated from The Ohio State University in May of 2024, and while she’s established herself as a talented livestock photographer, she is Amber's personal photographer. Megan is always present to capture every significant moment in Amber's life, offering both her lens and her unwavering support. Since seventh grade, Megan has been Amber's go-to person for a good laugh and a fun time. Beyond her professional work, she remains a steadfast friend, always ready to listen and be there for Amber through all of life's ups and downs.

Friend of the Couple. Denton graduates from the other OSU, Oklahoma State University, this May. Describing Denton seems an impossible task, as his vibrant personality leaves a mark wherever he goes. A natural at bringing the party to life, Denton is synonymous with good times and laughter. Often seen alongside Alex, they share a penchant for enjoying Busch Light and engaging in lively discussions about various livestock ventures. With his innate ability to infuse every interaction with flair, Denton ensures that the atmosphere is never dull in his presence.

Friend of the Couple. Morgan is always one to throw a good party at her college house, and gamedays were always a blast when she was around. Morgan graduated from The Ohio State University and now works at Farm Credit Mid America. Joining Alex and Amber late into the night, they’d reminisce over fair adventures and laugh about memories that had faded into the background. Morgan and Amber, having conquered high school Pre-Calculus together, would still try their best to keep up with discussions and inside jokes. And if you happen to see a sauce bottle make an appearance at the wedding, you can be sure that Morgan and Alex, with their trusty friend Jose Cuervo, are behind it.
Zane Paul

Friend of the Couple. Zane, who is currently majoring in exercise science at Heidelberg, also plays soccer and takes pride in helping younger players hone their skills. There’s so much to say about him, but to Alex, a few standout descriptors come to mind: bougie, expensive to maintain, and an analyzer. Despite their different quirks, Zane and Alex have shared countless long nights, enjoying a few too many beers in the Knouff's pool and making memories.
Makenna Snider

Friend of the Couple. Makenna, who is majoring in Marketing at the University of Dayton, has been a longtime family friend of Alex, and his “show sister” in a way. We often finds ourselves at their house, checking out the livestock in their barn and occasionally bringing down the Busch Light from their fridge. When Amber came into the picture, she and Makenna hit it off almost immediately, leading to a strong friendship where they now talk daily. Makenna’s outgoing, hardworking, and passionate nature makes her someone who lights up every conversation and situation she’s in.
Adam (Sonny) Siegel

Friend of the Couple. Two of Adam's favorite spots at The Ohio State University are the Library and The Little Bar. Every Friday, when Alex would venture to Columbus, they would muster up the courage after a long Thursday night to keep their 2 o'clock appointment at the Library, where they would sip on Little Bar Light. Amber would be found picking up Alex after classes and work because the half mile walk back was a little too long. Adam and Alex share a wealth of fond memories from both high school and college, and these cherished moments often revolve around their time spent at these beloved locations. Their friendship has been a constant source of joy and camaraderie throughout their academic journey.

Cousin to Amber. Amber and Kayla grew up incredibly close, often spending their weekends transporting as much of their American Girl Doll collection as possible between each other’s houses. Their frequent sleepovers were legendary, driving their grandparents a little crazy with the constant comings and goings. The joy and laughter they shared from their younger years are cherished memories, and their moms can certainly attest to the sheer volume of stuff and the countless hours they spent together. Their bond, forged through endless playdates and shared adventures, remains a testament to the strength and warmth of their friendship.

Friend of the Couple. Evan and Alex bond over their shared passion for show pigs, often find together in the barn with Evan sipping on his peach crown while evaluating their boars. Their prized possession includes a two-boar stud operation with Paul Buehler, a testament to their dedication. Evan is also credited with the legendary hungover engagement pictures of Alex and Amber, a result of the unforgettable time they had at his wedding, where the celebrations were a whale of a time.

Friend of the Couple. Halle and Amber met freshman year at The Ohio State University, forging a strong connection through their shared classes and club meetings. Their friendship blossomed after a memorable night at a club date party, where they made a plethora of fun memories, some of which are still emerging in their conversations. The highlight of their college years came when they traveled together to the Dominican Republic for their last spring break, creating unforgettable experiences under the tropical sun. Over time, Amber has come to rely on Halle as a trusted sounding board, always eager to bounce ideas off her and share in their mutual journey of growth and discovery.

One tradition to keep alive. Alex was a ring bearer in Nathan and Alaina's wedding, so to have the opportunity to have one of their sons in our wedding we jumped right on it. Jackson loves sports, farming, and getting into mischief.

Niece to Amber. Amelia became the youngest member of the Zimpfer crew in 2023, instantly infusing the group with a delightful blend of joy and laughter. Her lively personality, boundless curiosity about the world around her, and infectious energy have quickly made her an indispensable part of the crew. Amelia’s presence has rejuvenated the group, making every moment together more vibrant and memorable.

Middle daughter of Derek and Stacie McCracken. Amber and Alex babysat the three girls on and off. Alex ventures to their house after taking care of the pigs. Faye is the one to go to Alex and just look at him while not sharing her food. One word to describe Faye is ONERY.
