Tabor College did it again. We were perfect strangers until classes started. We sat next to each other in Psych and interacted minimaly in choir. He started inserting himself into conversations and hung out around me more and more. We went to the annual fair, hung out for two hours and became inseperable after that. Following that, we attempted to watch LoTR, got distracted by memes and our interactions consisted of laughing until our face hurt. After a few short weeks of having met and becoming friends, we started dating at 1 am on September 25th outside of the townhouses on campus.

On August 24th, 2023 we were celebrating my golden birthday (24 on the 24th), in Wichita, KS. We went to our favorite sushi place, Wasabi East, then headed to the mall so Aden could get a much needed haircut. After his haircut, we decided to look at rings quickly since we had been talking about marriage more and more. I tried on many options and they all fit but we fell in love with one in particular and Aden bought it then and there. We joked about him proposing that day but decided he wanted to plan it and make it his thing. That was absolutely ok with me. Later that evening, we were at play rehersal. After it ended Aden had managed to gather many of our friends (with help from a good friend) outside of the rehersal area where they all yelled happy birthday. They all looked very confused because he had managed to gather 20-30 people without telling them why they were there. After some pictures on the stairs he got on one knee in front of all our friends and I said yes!
