Our love story

It all started long before we officially met. I used to see Adam around town — especially when he’d come into Dino’s Diner, where I worked as a hostess. He immediately caught my eye. Back then, everyone said he looked just like Scotty McCreery — my American Idol crush turned country star — so of course, I noticed him every time he walked in. We had mutual friends, and even though he was a little older, I knew our paths would cross one day. And they did. It only took one time hanging out for me to fall for him, though I wasn’t ready to admit it back then. That summer turned into a handful of fun, carefree memories — the kind you never forget. Eventually, life took us in different directions. We both dated other people, and as the years went on, I became a mom to my beautiful daughter — one of the greatest blessings of my life. Still, even with time and distance, Adam was always in the back of my mind. Somehow, no matter where life led, our paths continued to cross through mutual friends and small moments that seemed meant to be. Years later, when I needed help moving out of an apartment after a difficult chapter in my life, Adam showed up — selfless and steady — to help my daughter and me. That small act reminded me of the kind of person he’s always been: caring, dependable, and quietly thoughtful. Looking back, it feels like the universe’s gentle way of pulling us together again. Our real turning point came when we both ended up at a friend’s wedding out of state. I wasn’t even supposed to go — my friend (and original plus one) got into a serious accident right before the trip. I almost backed out, especially knowing Adam would be there. But something told me to go, and I did. That trip changed everything. Away from all the noise and routines of home, Adam and I finally had the space to reconnect — to laugh, talk, and rediscover the spark that had always been there. From that weekend on, we were inseparable. We officially became a couple on January 10th, 2019, and five years later to the exact day, Adam proposed in Cape May, just before our anniversary dinner. Over the years, Adam has become so much more than my partner — he’s become my daughter’s rock, too. From day one, he never hesitated to love and accept her as his own. The way he shows up for her, supports her, and includes her in everything we do speaks volumes about the man he is. Watching their bond grow has been one of the most special blessings of my life. Through every high and low, Adam has been my steady place — my best friend, my constant, and my home. We’ve faced loss, change, and new beginnings together, and he has loved me and my daughter through it all with patience, grace, and unwavering love. Now, after years of growing together, we can’t wait to celebrate the story that’s been written through second chances, deep love, and the family we’ve built along the way.
