Amber and Jonathan’s story started back in 2013 at the University of North Texas in Denton. They met at a college event, quickly merged friend groups, and spent their time going to football games, singing along at country concerts, and battling it out on Nintendo 64 in the apartment. After college, life took them in different directions—until New Year’s Eve 2017, when they randomly ran into each other in Dallas. They shared their first kiss that night and joked, “If we’re ever still single one day, we should just marry each other.” (Turns out, that joke aged pretty well!) Over the years, they stayed good friends, and in the summer of 2022, they even became roommates. By April 2023, during a friend’s wedding, they started wondering if maybe this friendship had been something more all along. Just a couple months later, on June 16, 2023, they officially started dating. Fast forward to May 4, 2025—Jonathan proposed at the Fort Worth Botanical Gardens. To top it off, Amber’s family and friends were waiting with a surprise lunch to celebrate! Now, after years of friendship, laughter, and adventures, Amber and Jonathan are beyond excited to start their next chapter together—this time as husband and wife.
