We suggest booking a hotel or Airbnb sooner rather than later. The same weekend that our wedding is taking place, is also the same weekend that the Oregon International Airshow is taking place at the McMinnville airport.
A good portion of these hotels on this list are pretty close to the McMinnville airport and where the airshow would be. (Great views of the show, though.) Surrounding towns like Newberg or a little further out, like Salem or Sherwood could have more availability, if need be.
Do note that a small section of Highway 18 in front of the airport and Evergreen aviation museum and waterpark could be closed down or reduced to single lane traffic during the airshow hours. If traveling from McMinnville to Dayton, you may want to use Highway 99 as an alternate route.
