~ HOW TO GET TO VASHON ISLAND ~ There's a ferry leaving West Seattle from Fauntleroy Ferry Terminal (next to Lincoln Park, which is worth a visit) approximately every thirty minutes. Please find this ferry schedule at the WSDOT website link below: https://www.wsdot.com/ferries/schedule/scheduledetail.aspx?departingterm=9&arrivingterm=22&roundtrip=true You can walk, bike, or drive on. Walking on costs about $6, with a dollar extra for a bicycle. A regular compact car costs about $30. You can find more detailed ticket information below at the same WSDOT website for this ferry route. https://www.wsdot.wa.gov/ferries/fares/faresdetail.aspx?tripdate=&departingterm=9& arrivingterm=22 ~ ONCE YOU GET OFF THE FERRY ~ If you've walked on, you'll need to coordinate transportation as the camp is about an additional 15/20 min. drive from the Vashon terminal. See the shuttle information below.

Train

Seattle Light Rail

The Seattle Light Rail connects from the Sea-Tac airport to downtown Seattle. Anticipate about 35 to 40 min. travel time. You can buy one-way tickets, day passes, or buy and load an Orca Card with cash money if you're planning on continuing to use public transit throughout your visit. Orca Cards work on the light rail and on busses.

Travel Note

Seattle Public Transportation

If you're planning to take busses around town, we recommend buying an Orca Card and loading it with some money to get you started. Kiosks are available at the downtown light rail station, as well as most light-rail stations. Trips start at $2.75 - transfers are usually good for four hours. Discounted fares for children.
