Nicole's View: After talking online for just a couple days, we decided we weren't waiting any longer and decided to meet up for our first date. I met Meg at Maguire park to quickly help me get ready, then off to Kreuger's Landing to meet Sean and to go for a nice stroll on riverwalk. For the first mile and a half, we were both so nervous that we barely talked. It wasn't until we sat down at Elm Park, we finally started having good conversations. We continued walking riverwalk towards the fish ladder and the thing I remember the most is that the detour had us walk along Cedar street and he made it clear to me that the girl is to never walk on the outside of the sidewalk and that it is always the man's job to be on the outside. We walked for about 7 miles total and when we got back to the cars, we decided we still weren't done hanging out, and decided to go to Sugar Berry for a nice little treat. Although I could have stayed for much longer, I had kids to pick up so we ended the date with a sweet, but very nervous hug goodbye (for a short time because date number 2 came shortly after, followed by lots more very quickly).
When I realized I was ready to ask Nicole to marry me, I was thinking about it for quite some time. I knew nothing about what I was doing, asking some of the older guys at my previous job for advice (none were helpful). So the plan was to get the ring and bend the knee, easy enough right? Getting the ring without "special agent" Nicole finding out was a task all on its own. The ring arrives and oh my, it's real. I was so excited I ended up spilling the beans to my younger brother, Aaron before I asked. Now to figure out where I wanted to ask. I get in touch with Chris (Leo) because we already planned on spending the weekend at his house to get away. I tell him my plan and he's all for it and it's decided I wanted to ask on a beach. Excitement is escalating! So I need to bring one more person in to this, Stephanie, to share the excitement and the plan is set . Fast forward and now we are at the lake where I want to ask, fishing with Chris but so so nervous. Thinking how am I gonna get her to the beach without suspicion. We find a large dead fish on shore and I convince her to come look at it. She arrives on the beach and I'm standing behind her, in position and I bend the knee and say........
