We’re getting married!

Chris and Amaya first met through mutual friends at just the right time. Chris had been working in Texas for a few months, and Amaya had recently moved back after her college soccer season ended. Their story really began when Amaya’s maid of honor, Avery told Chris that her friend would think he's cute and really funny. Intrigued, Chris decided to take a chance and snapped Amaya from Avery’s phone. Not long after, they followed each other on Instagram, and Chris asked Amaya out on their first date at The Puttery in Grandscape. From that moment on, it was clear something special had begun, what they like to call their invisible strings. Looking back, it is easy to see that fate had been quietly working behind the scenes for years. In May 2019, Chris was a freshman in college and Amaya a senior in high school, and they were both at a concert called Jmblya, standing in the same area without knowing it. Chris and his family often went to the Dallas Galleria for back-to-school shopping or Dallas Cowboys games, while Amaya and her great-grandma GG were just minutes away and often visited the same spots more than likely at the same time. On more than one occasion, Chris and his friends came to Dallas for events or sports games, and somehow Amaya was always in the same area. Even their friend circles were connected, as one of Amaya’s best friends dates one of Chris’ high school friends, and yet the two of them had no idea the other existed. Lastly, Chris was born on November 29, 1999, and Amaya on November 21, 2000, just over a year apart, as if the universe had been quietly lining up their paths long before they even met. From that first date at The Puttery, the two bonded in a way neither expected. They quickly became inseparable, exploring DFW, trying new restaurants, and taking competitive date nights to the next level. They love bringing their fur babies, Boudreaux and Pappadeaux, on car rides and park adventures. One of their favorite hobbies is seeking out speakeasies for extra-sweet espresso martinis or smoked old fashioneds. Amaya loves Chris for his ability to fix anything, build just about everything, and for introducing her to Louisiana culture, especially boudin balls. Chris loves Amaya’s creativity, her athleticism, and how much fun he has supporting her at soccer games. Together, they have shared unforgettable trips, like their first visit to New York City, where even the subway became a favorite memory. On May 2, 2026, in Waxahachie, Texas, Chris asked Amaya to spend forever with him. He planned every detail, from the flowers to the photographer, and even made sure her great grandma could witness the special moment. After all the invisible strings and little coincidences that brought them together, Chris and Amaya are so excited to celebrate their love with the people who mean the most to them. They cannot wait to start this next chapter, hand in hand, surrounded by laughter, love, and a few more adventures along the way.
