Amarra and Rommel’s journey began in a Muay Thai class in 2017—two teenagers, just 15 and 16. The moment Rommel saw Amarra, he fell in love. With sweet smiles and clumsy gestures, he offered her gifts and found every reason to be near her. One day, with hopeful nerves, he asked Amarra to be his drilling partner. From that moment on, they were inseparable— they trained side by side for five years and continually grew closer. Over the next 8 years, Rommel fought in over 40 fights, Amarra watched and held her breath each time. This year, on the 20th of June, Rommel led Amarra through a sunlit field brimming with flowers and oak trees. And as the sun set, he asked her to spend forever with him. With joy, she said yes.
