An element of any Pittsburgh wedding (and Amaris is from Pittsburgh, if you didn't know) is a cookie table - a dessert array built by the contributions of the guests. Traditionally, the friends and family of the bride and groom prepare the cookies, rumored to stem from a depression-era tradition where money for wedding cakes was tight so the village would come together to make sure enough dessert was had for the happy couple. From lady locks and love-knots to raspberry thumbprints, anyone is welcome to bake and bring their favorite cookies to share with the wedding guests. If you do plan on bringing cookies, please coordinate with Malina Trozzo (412.983.5837) so that she can get the desserts squared away with the caterers.
Amaris and Devin have procured a room block at a local hotel and will be hosting a welcome reception and after-wedding brunch for those guests from out-of-town and staying at the hotel or nearby. More details will be found under the Travel Tab.
Invitations will specify the number of seats we have reserved in your name. Please adhere to the invitation in making your plans, thank you!
We absolutely love and adore all of your children; however, with so many wonderful kids in our lives we simply don't have the room at the venue to host them all! Please leave your little ones at home so you can take the night off, enjoy staying up late, dancing the night away, and eating and drinking as much as you please without having to share. Exceptions may be made for children under the age of two. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to Amaris and Devin!
Please arrive around 4:00 to the venue so you have time to get seated. We plan on starting the ceremony portion promptly at 4:30 PM.
We will provide shuttles from the hotel to the venue for the ceremony and back again at the end of the night. Shuttles will depart the hotel at 3:30 PM and 4:00 PM for the ceremony. Others are welcome to Uber/walk/metro to the venue. There is parking in the neighborhood but we would note that on-site parking is limited.
There is limited parking at the venue. We would ask that anyone traveling in from out of town park at/near the hotel and use the shuttle to arrive to the venue. For the local DC crowd, there may be a few parking spaces at the venue or around the area - we would recommend using Spot Hero as well to confirm your space.
Yes! Please let us know if you have any dietary restrictions. We have made the caterers aware of some nut allergies already. Additionally, we will be offering two buffets, both of which have vegetarian/vegan options available.
We absolutely LOVE our hotel, but will admit that their website user interface is not the best. We recommend accessing the link through a computer browser and using the "check in" and "check out" selections at the top of the page to make your reservation, rather than using the calendar. If you are finding that the rooms are all booked or that the system isn't letting you book for the right number of days, please call the bride at 412.680.5082. We have an excellent Event Manager at the Hotel who will get your reservation all squared away on the back end.
