Amarí sparked Kaylon’s interest through her cousin Des' Instagram posts. The couple first met in February of 2020 at Des’ basketball game at Paul Quinn.The two spoke, and that would be just it until June of 2020 at Des’ birthday party. He had an eye on Amarí the entire party, but they never interacted until after the party when Amarí called him over to her car, exchanging phone numbers. They went on to text on and off until they saw one another again. Exactly one year later, at the boat party, once Kaylon arrived Amarí jokingly greeted him “Hey Husband!” in response he said “Hey Wife!” unknowingly of this special day…During the party circumstances caused them to stick beside one another. Afterwards, Kaylon was in hopes that she would need help and surprisingly she did! Later that evening Amarí texted Kaylon asking if he made it home. And he asked her on a date! Amarí was hesitant with going on a date with him, but she took a chance. The first date took place on National Tequila Day (7.24.21) at Off the Cuff in Deep Ellum. Since, Amarí and Kaylon have been joined at the hip and by keeping God in the center of their relationship led them to join unions and become one.
