Beautiful! Milwaukee summers host typical highs of 75 and plenty of rain clouds. All events will be indoors with outdoor patio access, weather permitting.
We encourage everyone to pull out their best Indian outfits for our events! Bright colors and patterns are highly encouraged. Western attire is also acceptable! For the ceremony, please dress modestly and avoid wearing red as this is a bridal color. Women should bring a shawl or dupatta to wear over hair, shoulders, and arms while inside the Gurudwara. Keep comfort in mind as seating will be on a carpeted floor! Men will be provided with a rumal at the Gurudwara to cover their heads as a sign of respect. Please feel free to let us know if you have questions about your outfits, we would love to consult! More information about how to dress for our events can be found here: https://shorturl.at/7uUko

If this will be your first time in a Gurudwara, welcome! Here is a quick guide to help you feel up-to-speed: https://shorturl.at/HtkCn Please be aware that men and women will be seated separately, with men on the right side of the prayer hall and women on the left. The Jago is a great place to meet new people to sit with if your plus-one may end up seated away from you!
Parking will be available at all venues. Parking addresses will be listed under Schedule for each event. The Jago and Reception will both be held in downtown Milwaukee and are accessible by walking or rideshare if staying within the city.
Cafe India will be providing delicious food for all of our events. Please notify us of any dietary restrictions when you RSVP. Open bar will be hosted at the Jago and Reception with alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks for everyone!
Children are welcome at all of our events! If there are accommodations that would help you enjoy your night (onsite babysitting, etc.), please let us know and we can try to make it happen. We would love to celebrate with all of you.
