Cyndi and Cesar worked together at a hospital in Miami. She was the Nursing Supervisor while Cesar was one of the Hospitalists, both working night shifts. One night, a conversation arose about how Cesar had never dated a Cuban girl and at that moment, without hesitation, Amanda's mom said, “You should meet my daughter!” Just as quickly as those words came out of her mouth, she wanted to retrieve them as she had never offered anyone to date her daughter. Instead, Cesar asked when she was going to invite him over for that coffee she had promised. Embarrassed, she said she would have to speak to Amanda and if she agreed, that she would give him Amanda's phone number for him to reach out to her directly instead. Thinking that Amanda would be horrified of what had transpired and decline, Cyndi told Amanda of the situation and Amanda actually agreed to meet up with Cesar (blindly because Cyndi didn't have any photos of Cesar!). The contact was shared and Cesar proceeded to ask her out on a date. Their first date, nearly 5 years ago on October 8, 2016, was filled with spontaneous events and lasted approximately 6 hours. The rest is history...
