Tom and Amanda had a modern day romance, by meeting through the popular online dating website, Plenty of Fish. For their first date, they met for a coffee and decided to go for a bite to eat after hitting it off for a few hours. They quickly became close and soon enjoyed spending all their time together. In the past eight years, they have travelled around the world, eaten some great food, and enjoyed those cozy nights in with their cat, Bandit.

On December 24th, 2017, Tom proposed to Amanda at the back of the Chateau Laurier after a nice Christmas dinner with Tom's parents. Amanda thought Tom was acting stranger than usual and didn't know what was on his mind. When he started putting his hands in all his pockets, she knew what was coming. She quickly said "yes" and he said "I'm just glad it's over". They were excited to share the news with their loved ones and can't wait to celebrate their marriage with all of you!
