Question

What COVID-19 health and safety requirements will be in place at the wedding?

Answer

We will be taking every precaution to ensure your safety during the event, including all guests wearing a face mask in public spaces, sanitizing frequently, and ensuring our entire guest list is fully vaccinated. Our venue requires all guests to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and provide proof of vaccination upon arrival. However, children under 12 are not subject to Ontario's vaccine passport system. If you are no longer able or feel uncomfortable travelling or attending, we understand. Please let us know as soon as possible, so we can update our guest list.

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

The latest date to RSVP is November 6, 2021. But also note that our hotel room blocks are only discounted until October 31, 2021 (book these ASAP!).

Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code is Black Tie Formal. Gowns and Tuxes or Suits are preferred.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Please check your invitation and online RSVP. If they say "and Guest", then you may. Only those listed on your invite and online RSVP will be able to attend.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Our Ceremony starts at 3PM, so please arrive at least 10 minutes prior. Main doors will be closing at 3PM sharp. If you are late, only balcony seats will be available.

Is there parking available at Ancaster Mill?

Answer

Yes, parking is available at the venue free of charge. Please refer to the map on our 'Schedule' page to find all parking lots. Please do not drink and drive. If you have one too many drinks, you can leave your car overnight and take a short Uber or Taxi ride to the hotels listed on our 'Accommodations' page. Please note, Ancaster Mill will not be held responsible for any damage as there is no overnight security.

Will there be a coat check?

Answer

Coat check is only available in the Mill Building prior to our Cocktail Hour and Dinner Reception. Unfortunately, this is not available at our Ceremony space.

Is there an open bar?

Answer

Absolutely! Open bar will begin at 3:30 PM during our cocktail hour and will run until last call at 12:30 AM.

How do I choose my meal for dinner? If I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Menus will be provided at dinner and will include a three-course plated meal. You will have a few options to choose from for your entree. For any dietary restrictions or food allergies, please indicate this on your online RSVP form.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to Ancaster Mill?

Answer

No, we will not be providing any transportation to and from the hotels. Please carpool, Uber and/or Taxi.

Question

What are the cancellation policies on hotel reservations?

Answer

All hotels listed on our 'Accommodations' page allow cancellation of a hotel room reservation up until 48 hours prior to the event.
