Him and I, and a world of beauty surrounding us at Avalanche Lake in Glacier National Park, Montana. I cannot imagine a place more stunning for him to have chosen to ask me to be his wife. He set up the go pro to get some photos of us and the scenery- and the next thing I knew I was looking down at him on one knee. He spoke words I will always hold close to my heart. Then, he pulled out the most beautiful ring I've ever seen that he had personally designed, and through the sobs I told him "yes!"

We met as kids in our Freshman and Sophomore years of high school, trying to get through our orchestra class period. We played the violin, and Grant was significantly better than me. In fact I was a bit humiliated to sit in front of Grant, because he was cute and my bow was always going in the wrong direction. Apparently Grant had a thing for bad violin players, because one thing led to another and we were sneaking kisses between class in the halls. Grant and I were always two old souls who managed to find each other. As high schoolers we chose walks in the park with our dogs, finding a nice place to hammock, or sitting on the beach. Two high school kids turned into two college kids, that shared the same love. We went to Universities two hours apart- and created our own lives and new friends. While we missed each other, our independence and self growth only solidified our relationship. College kids turned working adults as a nurse and patent engineer, we are finally where we've always dreamed of being. We share a home, we have an awesome dog, we have solid careers, a wonderful circle of friends and family, and we have each other. As we move forward into married adult life and consider growing our family, we want to celebrate all our love has endured, and the beautiful form it has evolved into. We want to celebrate our love with our family and best friends, in the best way we know how. We want to be surrounded by mother nature, have loved ones to laugh with, champagne to drink, and to make some beautiful memories.
