Hmm.. how we met…

December ‘16

Well, it’s kind of cute, actually. Bryan was working at Flying Saucer and I had just started at Gulu Gulu in downtown Salem. Bryan told me I came in to eat and he battled his coworkers to drop off the pizza to my table. Adorable, but I was unaware and didn’t notice. Ha! I’m the worst. I remembered almost walking into him down in the basement when we were both passing through in opposite directions. But, so did he. Flash forward a couple months and it’s the Gulu and Saucer Holiday party. I was still new enough that I didnt really know anyone, besides one of my good, lifelong friends, Cliff. Cliff and I were chatting in the back near the bar, when Bryan came up and just… stood next to Cliff lol. He just kind of wedged himself into the conversation, but it made me notice him. Later on, I noticed Bryan hanging out with another good friend of mine, and unknowingly a good friend of Bryan’s, Dylan. I went up to Dylan to ask what Bryan’s deal was. Dylan clearly knew what was up and somebody suggested playing a round of pool. We grabbed another friend, and the 4 of us played. Thankfully, I was really good at pool that night, so I was able to impress Bryan lol. Fast forward again to that night… I go on Facebook, and who do I have a friend request from? Of course, Bryan. I went on his page and liked 5 of his posts. His opening line was, “It looks like we have 5 things in common.” And right then and there, I was hooked. And now, 5 years later.. I wouldn’t want to be with anybody else. ❤️💍 I love you, Bryan 🥰🌸

The Proposal

August 31, 2021

Oh man, the proposal. We were on our annual trip to Plymouth and I just remember Bryan telling me all these different people who would be there during the week. I just kept thinking, “does his mother know how many people are coming this year?” The night he did it, I had gone out to the store with Jess Sawyer and our good friend Kelcie. We took a little longer than expected, and Bryan was worried we wouldn’t make it back in time for sunset (how cute). Well, we got back in time! Bryan asked me to go for a walk and I froze.. I looked at him.. “am I in trouble?” I’m thinking back to the day before when I forgot to buy BBQ sauce. “No,” with a smile on his face replied Bryan. We walked for about a couple of minutes, when Bryan stopped me to tell me he loved me and that I was the best thinf that had ever happened to him. He got down on one knee and popped the question! I was so excited! I barely looked at the ring, I just couldn’t wait to embrace him. He remembered me saying years ago that I wanted all my friends and family there for my proposal. And he remembered. And he did just that. ❤️💍
