We were fortunate to have a mutual friend - Charlie's sister Patty! Love must have certainly been in the air during Patty's wedding events in 2015 because we met at Patty's 'Stock the Bar' party and have been together ever since. Despite Amanda's refusal of Charlie's chivalry during flip cup, they exchanged numbers by the end of the night and were each other's date by the time the wedding rolled around.

We set out on a hike on our anniversary with the recent addition to our family, Xavier! We went to Camp Chowenwaw Park, a new to us State Park so a new adventure. After a few mile hike, during which, unbeknownst to Amanda, Charlie was scouting for an ideal spot to pop the question, we arrived back at the car. Charlie exclaimed the need to see the river view so off we went. Spotting an old sleep away camp stage, Charlie knew this was his chance. He suggested to Amanda that she relax on the bench and close her eyes. The commotion Amanda could hear between Charlie and Xavier was highly amusing. When she opened her eyes Charlie was on one knee while Xavier was sitting with a sign that read 'Mommy will you marry Daddy?' And she of course said yes!!
