We met at the place we used to work together at, Lithia Chrysler Jeep Dodge of Missoula. At the time, Taylor was detailing cars, and Amanda working as a Service Advisor. One day, Taylor was walking through the Service department, as usual there would be small talk, but on this particular day Amanda was counting the register at the end of the day and Taylor was walking by Amanda to which she asked, “Hey, can you do me a favor” to which Taylor replied, “Yeah, what’s up?”. Little did we know the rest would be history. Amanda kindly asked Taylor to count the freshly broken $5 roll of dimes that was used and without hesitation, he was getting busy counting her dimes! That was the moment Amanda knew he would be worth her time. Amanda asked Taylor out on a date to a random dive bar that was about the halfway point from Florence-Missoula, not knowing Taylor doesn’t drink alcohol. Amanda ordered her usual, a Vodka Redbull and Taylor ordered his usual water. Not long after our first date Amanda and her step father Chris took a trip to California. When Amanda came back from her trip, Taylor asked her to his girlfriend and from there, she hasn’t been able to get rid of him. A dime she’s asked for all along. See our second date below. When Taylor and Amanda first met, Taylor owned a new 2022 Jeep Wrangler that was lifted 2in. and had 37in tires on it, boy oh boy did Taylor bring out the boy in Amanda. Off roading and traveling the roads less traveled became their favorite weekend adventure. Their favorite place became a Ranger Station up Blue Mountain in Missoula. The only way to access the Ranger Station is by a lifted vehicle that could take a massive beat to the suspension and by not caring how scratched your vehicle gets. If you’re Taylor, wack your side mirror off clean with a tree, or if you’re Amanda, direct Taylor’s fender straight into clipping a tree (no Jeep fenders were harmed, just stressed a little). The road was worse than the worst rollercoaster you can think of. So. Much. Fun!! Then, the City of Missoula shut down the only road to access our spot. This has since created a goal for the married couple to one day own another off road vehicle in the future. Fun fact: Taylor was going to propose to Amanda at that location, but the wild had different plans.
