January 2015 Sean set off on a cross country road trip with his dad, and Amanda finally had enough of the Boston winters. Both started new jobs at NFL Media within a day of each other, but in different departments. They became friends over tots at the Huddle and highlights in the Blue Room, but sparks didn't fly just yet. 2015-2018: The loving couple spent this period wandering the wilderness of media jobs and hapless dating in the big city, not knowing they already knew the love of their lives. November 2018 Having both left NFL Media the previous year, they ran into each other at a holiday party thrown by their close mutual friend. Sean was dressed like the 4th of July, wearing a hat shaped like an eagle. And that was it! January 2019 After a few hangouts with friends, Sean and Amanda went on their official first date. Amanda had just moved, so Sean arrived to her new apartment with 2 cases of beer and a Roku. Amanda's biggest concern at the time was that, if it didn't work out, she would have to return the Roku. (Spoiler--we are still using the same Roku.) January 2021 Sean and Amanda finally wised up and stopped paying two rents while using one roof and moved in together, dreaming of how they could fit a dog into their one bedroom apartment. November 2022 Sean shipped off to Qatar to work the World Cup, while Amanda (and her dad) picked up their first baby—English bulldog Pumbaa! Their little dream family was growing. December 2022 Sean returned home from Qatar the week of Christmas. Amanda didn’t expect a proposal, as she knew his Mom’s ring was in Seattle with Sean’s brother, Chris. Little did she know, three days before Christmas, Chris hopped on a plane to hand off the ring to Sean--then flew right back up! Sean proposed to a very surprised Amanda on Christmas eve at their apartment <3
