Matron of Honor
Brittany and I met (most likely) on the school bus in grade school. She's been part of my life for as long as I can remember! We spent many days riding bikes, having dance parties, playing Mario Kart, and making movies with my brothers. While she went to Iowa for college, we never grew apart. She is very laid back and a good balance to my high energy personality. She loves Bud Light but learned that Stella was better when she hung with my dad and me. She married into a big farm family (the Goebberts) last fall, got a golden retriever puppy, and is expecting her first child, due just before the wedding! I thank her for always being there for me.
Best Man
Mark is my brother and best friend. I wouldn't be a golfer without him. I wouldn't be a Cubs fan without him. I wouldn't be half the man I am today without him. His relationship with his wife, Lauren, has been an inspiration for me for the almost two decades they have been together. He is the husband, father, and man that I can only strive to be. I admire everything he's done, except for the number of holes-in-one he's made...
Bridesmaid
Logan and I met freshman year at Indiana in the dorms. We bonded over the fact that everyone else on our floor joined sororities, while we said yuck! She literally taught me how to drink, which meant Grey Goose (yes, as FRESHMEN) and gave me my high standards for a good cocktail to this day. We love creating traditions together like Halloween and doing golf (Phoenix Open). While I like to be on the GO, Logan reels me in to just sit down. Hanging at home doing nothing has turned out to be some of the most memorable times filled with lots of laughter. We are both obsessed with rescue dogs (she's going to run her own one day), and most of all, she is just f*cking FUN.
Groomsman
Bergstrom will be my guy for the rest of our lives. We met on the putting green before high school golf try-outs freshman year. He had just moved to Quincy, and though he didn't have too much to say, I quickly wrangled him into betting quarters on the golf course. We built our bond there and on the poker table and quickly became inseparable. We went to college 800 miles apart, but that didn't stop me from making frequent trips to Lehigh. Ski trips and US Opens in the books, we've vowed to make it to the other three tennis majors. I lived with Michael's family every college break that I was in Quincy and consider them my second family. Michael loves his friends & family quietly but fiercely and is intimidatingly smart. I love this guy.
Bridesmaid
The first night I met Bree, she was my roommate in a hotel for my new job. She was late to training because she flew in from Vegas and had dramatic stories to share already! I knew I loved her vivacious energy right then and there! Her facial expressions and genuine reactions to LITERALLY everything are amazing. She found Scottie before I did and tried pushing him to be my boyfriend before we had even met. I guess she was right! She's been a supporter from the beginning, and it's been a blast that our men have also become best friends. I couldn't do our wedding without her!
Groomsman
I met Chris's golf clubs before I met Chris. The next day, he picked me up to go to a baseball game, and I ended up crashing on his couch that night. stands to reason with how many a hungover day I would spend on his glorious couches in the years that would follow... When Chris started dating his wife Bree, he did his best to prevent Amanda and me from getting together by calling her 'Scottie's girl' (see Bree's bridesmaid bio). He clearly didn't know Amanda does NOT like to be told what to do... Amanda and I found our way together regardless, and Chris has been our biggest supporter ever since. There are people you are grateful to have along for the ride, and there are people you couldn't be where you are without... Chris is the latter.
Bridesmaid
Allie was basically my live-in sister, growing up in Libertyville together. We spent a lot of time making embarrassing movies and dance routines in my basement, went to every high school dance, and even became Hoosiers together. IU! After college, we tore up downtown Chicago and continued our amazing dance moves. She is one of the most caring friends and remembers about everything you tell her. She's there when you need her, whether it's support, celebration, tears, or just some good shit talk. While I rather enjoy Allie's clumsy self, I hope she doesn't trip down the aisle.
Groomsman
Alex and I went to high school together and became close after college. He agreed to our first apartment together without ever having seen it. Al will go to the casino with you on a Sunday because you have an itch to play poker after watching Entourage. He'll get more excited about your successes than you do, and I love him for it. Al and I spent a day at the John Deere Classic that legitimately contributed to Amanda and me getting to where we are now. He's a yes-man and a true friend. When I need a pick-me-up, I look no further than Al.
Bridesmaid
Megan is FUNNY. She makes me laugh a lot, without even trying. She is extremely genuine and doesn't stand for any B.S. She'll call you out, but I mostly love to laugh when she calls everyone else out. She is always down for a good time and quickly visited me 4 times in AZ in less than 3 years. We both love dogs and have a special affinity for elephants. We share similar morals and values which allowed our friendship to flourish quickly. While her one flaw is being a Packer fan, I welcome the cheese curds and Spotted Cow. Cheers!
Groomsman
Blake is the friend that every person could only wish to have. He'll celebrate your wins, lay down in traffic for you, and sit with you pond-side when your first teenage relationship is over and you think the world is ending. :) Blake and I have been close since we were young kids, so close in fact that he once invited me over to my own house, which he had broken into while I was on the golf course... When I wasn't dominating him in the octagon or putting him to shame in the gym, Blake was usually at my house, so much so in fact that my mom (who adores Blake) once simply had to politely tell him to 'go home'. Blake is literally a lifelong friend.
Bridesmaid
Lisa is Scott's sister who reminds me of myself. Being the oldest of the siblings, we know the importance of keeping them all in check! Haha! But mostly, we make sure to keep everyone happy and well cared for. We can't help it, and we will do it at the expense of our own well-being. She and her husband live in Overland Park, Kansas (not far from my brother) and share three gorgeous children! When I met Lisa, she only had one! It's been so fun to watch their family grow. Her house is always full of life and fun. I thank her for standing by us on our big day!
Groomsman
Michael is Amanda's brother and one of the sneaky funniest guys I've met. He won't be the first to insert himself into a group conversation, but pay attention when he does. Michael cares deeply, doesn't take himself too seriously, and is always there for the people he cares about most. He's so there for you, in fact, that he will sit thru a seven hour country concert he doesn't really care about, all the while contemplating eating the untouched nachos the people next to us left behind... Clearly, Michael's the kind of guy you want to be around.
Bridesmaid
Ashley is Scott's stylin' sister! She and her husband live in Charlotte with their two beautiful daughters. She exudes chill mom vibes, which I only hope I can one day emulate. We share a love for wine, exploring, and shopping. While she doesn't yet love pets like I do, I'm glad she got a hamster last year (hopefully a gateway pet to a dog). I'm excited for her to stand by our side on the big day! Rumor has it she's staying a week!
Groomsman
Stephen is the youngest of the Skul children and carries the incredible personality you'd expect from a youngest child. :) When his sister (who I just had a crush on at the time) asked me to spend a day at Iowa and help move him out of his dorm, I jumped at the chance. Needless to say, I may have had a bit too much fun and not made a lasting impression, as he thought I was someone else for the first few months I was dating his sister... He'll talk intelligently and honestly about a wide variety of topics, but his truest skills lie on the dance floor. Some might even call him a TikTok sensation. Having sat thru many hours of Skul home videos, Stephen's affinity for the spotlight is innate. I look forward to many years hanging with this guy.
Bridesmaid
Ashley is my cousin, and we are the only girls in a family of lots of boys! But we are the oldest, so we have always kept it under control. Growing up, I idolized Ashley's wardrobe and used to dress like her constantly. Her style is still on point! She's moved probably as many times as I have, so our roots are all over the place. She is a Texas girl now with a beautiful baby girl. We shared an upbringing of summers in fabulous southern California with our grandparents, clouding our judgment on what a "normal" house might be, and we loved every second of it. Can we PLEASE buy it back?! I'm not sure anyone can match Ashley in her wine drinking, but I'm close. (She won't be at the wedding because she's expecting baby #2!)
