To Our Family and Friends, This has truly been one of the hardest decisions we have ever had to make, however a decision that needed to be made nonetheless. As you all know, we had planned to celebrate our marriage on May 24th, which was then moved to October 4th. Considering the state of the world and what is happening with Covid-19 we have to think of all of YOU and not be selfish. Your safety and well being is of the utmost importance to us and with that being said we have decided to cancel our wedding celebration. Thankfully we were married by law in Vegas where we had a very small and intimate ceremony, which was beautiful and perfect, however not remotely the same as being able to be in a room full of everyone we love the most. We hope that you all stay safe during these very uncertain times and can help us celebrate from a far. So many things we know in life are canceled, but love isn’t one of them. We love all of you so much and wish you well. Amanda and Rob Our story... We met in September of 2016 at our place of work in London and lets just say it wasn’t exactly love at first sight. Amanda didn’t find Rob to be helpful, and Rob thought Amanda was a complete handful. So now we fast forward to Summer 2018 when Rob was in New York and Amanda invited him to her BBQ (also known as a Braai). Rob showed up and was nothing but a gentleman, saving the BBQ as none of Amanda’s friends actually knew how to use the grill. At this point, Amanda had realized Rob had a thing for her, but she totally chickened out, and basically kicked him out of her apartment. They stayed in touch throughout the next year, messaging each other here and there, on big occassions etc. This brings us to May 2019- Rob says Amanda reached out first, but that’s still unclear. Either way, Rob decided once and for all, that he wanted to make a visit to NY to see Amanda because he just had a feeling there was more to this friendship. Rob arrived on July 4th, 2019 and the rest is history.
