In 2009, Amanda and Rey met at Diplomat Middle School. Amanda had the biggest crush on Rey all throughout their middle school days, but to him, she was just one of his best friends, as he was hers. They lost touch after going to different high schools, but were still connected through social media. After moving back to Cape Coral & getting stuck there because of the pandemic, Amanda decided to reach out to Rey. They reconnected, and it was like no time had passed. Hanging out almost every weekend, they could not stay away from each other.
