After years of “knowing of” each other, Amanda and Pete came together through circumstance in May of 2020. Pete had moved home to Berks County a year prior and Amanda was home from New York City staying with her family during the Covid-19 pandemic. Mutual friends brought them together and the rest was history. After a summer of being inseparable Amanda and Pete quickly realized this was something special, and within a few short months Amanda decided to leave New York City and move in with Pete, get a new job in the area and start their life together. Amanda, Pete and Riley, Jax and Turtle soon became family. Pete always says, “when you know you know”, and this was certainly the case throughout their relationship. After a year and a half of countless memories, adventures, growth, love and loss, Peter and Amanda took a vacation to NYC in September of 2021. What started as a typical weekend in the city turned into their engagement weekend. Peter asked Amanda to marry him during a morning walk in the West Village at the fountain in Washington Square Park. After tears of joy the answer was yes, and Amanda and Peter celebrated the beginning of the rest of their lives together. Thank you to all of the wonderful friends and family who have played a part in Amanda and Pete’s story!
