Wedding Party

Since we have a fairly small guest list, we would love to introduce you to everyone that is going to be involved in the big day. Our goal is to make the ceremony feel as intimate as possible.

Amanda LoConte

Bride

Born during an episode of Andy Griffith, Amanda has always been one of a kind. From her outrageous fashion choices as a child to making sure that if you were frowning, she made you smile any way she could. With family in both New England and South Carolina, Amanda had the best of both worlds growing up. She loved spending time with her father's family at Seabrook Beach and Newfound Lake, and marching in the Sons of Italy in Haverhill, MA. Amanda also had some memorable experiences in South Carolina with her mom's family, like when she was almost peed on by a goat and saying her first cuss words, right after church while she was being chased by a "big ass bee!" Ever since she met Paul in the fall of 2019, she the missing piece in her heart has been filled & that life is only getting better!

Paul Hines

Groom

Luckily his mom was already a morning person because Paul woke her up ready to go in the middle of winter. He was smiles all around and continues to light up a room to this day. Growing up, Paul actually spent a lot of time, unbeknownst to the both of them, skateboarding & playing wrestling with Amanda's cousins in South Carolina. He continued in his father Doc's footsteps and joining both the Army, enlisting the South Carolina National Guard & enrolling in the South Carolina Fire Academy. He was able to enjoy his deployment in Germany & Eastern Europe by learning all about their beers and still pursues firefighting at both BMW and Inman in South Carolina. Paul claims that he knew he was going to marry Amanda on their first date and thankful she is in his life everyday.

Rebecca Jones

Matron of Honor

We have such an incredible bond, that its impossible to even to describe how we even met. Paul mentioned to you that I was "slightly obsessed with pugs," and you got me an apron and beanie with pugs on it. Together, we can make even a mundane event feel like a huge, special party. For example, when we were planning your mother's surprise birthday party, and we went about it like we were planning a heist. You and I had thought of the perfect theme, party games (who could ever forget "old lady dress up") and the food for the day. Because of your ingenuity and creativity, we were able to give your mom an amazing birthday party. There is no doubt in my mind that you are the perfect choice for my matron of honor.

David LoConte

Best Man

Sharing the birthday of the bride's father, this handsome devil & youngest biological brother of Amanda has proven time and again that he is willing to do anything for Amanda, Paul and just about anyone who asks. When he and Paul met, they didn't have that awkward moment that some brothers and boyfriends have when they first meet; in fact, they took turns beating Amanda in video games at the Retrocade in Asheville, talked about their military service over a few beers and just ultimately became good friends over the course of a night.

Shannon LoConte

Bridesmaid

From a distance, Shannon and Amanda have been mistaken for each other, and their mother Robin, quite a bit because of their similarities. Luckily, you'll be able to tell them apart on the wedding day; Amanda will be the one in the long white dress! Shannon is considered to be the family gypsy because she enjoys and is always traveling with her rescue dog Frosty. Most recently, Shannon traveled from New Hampshire to Florida, to North Carolina, to New Hampshire, finally settling down in North Carolina. Growing up, Shannon was always Amanda's "guinea pig" for a new hair style or color, make up look or fashion outfit, bringing the two girls close as sisters and now keeping their bond strong now as adults.

Samantha Moise

Bridesmaid

A bottle of Red, a bottle of White...yes, those are Billy Joel lyrics, but also how I met this incredible New Yorker turned Boston Beaner of a bestest friend. At Labor Day house party hosted by a mutual friend, Samantha and I met over a few bottles of wine and just instantly clicked. Even as the night transitioned from the house to the bar, and we made it our sole mission to find our mutual friend a new guy that night, we knew that we were going to be inseparable. Upon moving to Beantown (Boston), we even lived together, (in a college dorm single. How the college never found out I was there, not as an actual student, probably because it was summer sem.) We may have had our ups and downs, as any friendship does, but we never let them break us apart, only let us get stronger!

Cathy Stephens

Bridesmaid

Cathy was the first friend Amanda made upon moving to Asheville. In traditional Ashevillean fashion, it wouldn't be a traditional sense of meeting one another. They both worked in the Asheville mall, but at different stores. Amanda was the ASM of Icing & Cathy a key holder at EarthBound. An older gentleman would wander the mall, and in particular, stop in at both Icing and EarthBound. He even asked Amanda out to dinner, which she declined, but he still persisted. One night, he brought a trinket from EarthBound to Amanda, and although she tried her damnedest, he refused to take it back. After he left, she brought the trinket to EarthBound to try to return it or something. Cathy was able to give her store credit, bonded over the creepy incident and the start of a beautiful friendship!

Savannah Cox

Junior Bridesmaid

Savannah is certainly a diamond from the rough. She came to live with us at the age of 2 and blossomed into the beautiful young lady she is today. By 15 years old, she has already traveled and experienced cultures many people only dream of. I am proud to have this young lady by my side on my wedding day.

Keagan Martin

Groomsman

They say you meet people for a reason. When I met Keagan at Basic Training, I knew we were going to become friends with no end. He would laugh me for singing in the shower while we were in AIT. Some nights, he would sneak into our bunk because he thought that his AIT bunkmates were just nasty and he didn't like them at all. The night before his own wedding, during his bachelor party, Keagan actually puked out the side of my car! I love this guy and just the fact that he'll be there whenever you need him is why I am excited for him to be part of my wedding party.

Brooke Krokus

Bridesmaid

After leaving Claires, I decided to try my hand in one of my favorite hobbies; craft beer. Brooke took me under her wing at All About Beer Magazine and helped me expand to a better business woman. We bonded over our love of craft beer, the crazy insanity that became All About Beer's demise and fun girls nights. I definitely couldn't get married without this crazy girl by my side.

Doc Hines

Groomsman

William Butler

Assistant to the Best Man/Usher

This young Tom Cruise look-a-like is the best friend to David, the best man. He has been there for him during some of David's toughest times. This Chicago native will have you in stitches with any of his jokes or just stories of times in the Army, nights out on the town, etc. Butler is just that all around great guy and a wonderful addition to the wedding party.

Jeremy Moody

Groomsman

I met him when I was 8 or 9 at Dacusville Church of God. We always had fun when we used to go camping in the woods behind the church with the Royal Rangers. He is now wary of any M&Ms I offer because he was there when I told a kid that rabbit poop was M&Ms. But don't let the innocent smile fool you; Jeremy has a bit of a wild streak. We once hit a tree head on with his first truck! We used to party at his mom and dads (Sorry Mr. & Mrs. Moody!). His family dog once even humped me! He will always be a friend who you could call and he would give the shirt off his back!

Junior Martin

Groomsman

We met on my second deployment and he became my "Deployment Dad." We tried to always eat lunch together while we were overseas. He saw the best and worst of me on deployment. He is and will always be a great mentor of mine! If you ever need him he’s always there. He’s a special needs teacher, a football coach and loves sports. One time he told someone I’m his son and they looked confused because of skin color but skin color doesn’t matter; loving one another as family is the bigger picture. He will forever be in my heart!

Robin LoConte

Mother of the Bride

She goes by the nickname, "Red Robin, YUM!" The mother of the bride is a spunky, upbeat and outspoken hot Southern Mama. Robin wants nothing but the best for her family, especially her first born daughter.

John LoConte

Father of the Bride

You may have seen this guy on national television, playing the trumpet with the Sons of Italy Drum and Bugle Drum Corps band. Today, he'll be walking his oldest daughter down the aisle.

Susan Hines

Mother of the Groom

David Sanders

Officiant

A proud new father, Amanda's cousin David cannot stop praising his son Easton, his beautiful wife Breanna and the Lord. The way he talks about the Lord is why he was the only choice for Amanda & Paul for the Officiant position. However, just a fair warning to all of the college football fans; don't say that any other team but the South Carolina Gamecocks is best, even though he knows deep down that Clemson is much better!

John Steinbrecher

Groomsman

Don't give this guy room temperature gazpacho soup because he'll burn his mouth on it! Samantha's fiance' will keep you in stitches with his jokes. He also has a full knowledge of everything music, especially when it comes to his favorite band QUEEN. John is also an avid golfer who introduced Paul into his new favorite hobby of golfing. He will always have your back if you ever get into a donnybrook. Its an honor to have this great man as part of our wedding party.

Luci & Frosty

The Doggos behind the Signature Drinks

While we won't actually have the dogs at the ceremony, we will be featuring them by way of the signature drinks during happy hour. We will be having one alcoholic drink called the Luci, & one non-alocholic drink called the Frosty. The Luci will be a whiskey mule-ade, appropriately named for the feisty black pug that David (the best man) brought home just over 7 years ago. She loves to sleep and snuggle in laps, but when she sees other dogs on tv, she likes to growl & "defend her turf". When her loved ones come home, she loves to howl, jump & lick on them to show just how much she loves & misses them. On the other hand, we have laidback Frosty, Shannon's rescue. He is the star of the virgin ginger-ade. His carefree, happy-go-lucky makes him perfect for such relaxing summertime drink.
