It all began at Stetson University in the spring of 2022, where Amanda and Nathan first met and became friends. Their friendship quickly grew over the Blind Pig karaoke sessions, where Amanda discovered Nathan's talent for singing, which won over her heart! That summer, just one week before Nathan left for boot camp, they made it official and started dating. The next six months consisted of handwritten letters and, if they were lucky, one short phone call a week. Those letters are a reminder of a love built on patience. As Nathan went on to Ranger Selection and Ranger School, their time together became a series of weekend adventures at Fort Benning, which remain some of their most cherished memories. Eventually, he got stationed in Savannah, and Amanda started law school in Charleston, which was exciting as they went from long-distance to medium-distance. They took full advantage of being just a couple of hours apart, exploring their new cities and trying new restaurants, as they are both major foodies. On June 1, 2025, on the Isle of Palms, Nathan dropped to one knee, and Amanda said yes! In May 2026, they will finally close the distance and move in together in Savannah. And on September 5, 2026, surrounded by their loved ones, they look forward to officially becoming husband and wife.
